IRS Selects New ETAAC Leader
WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service has announced the selection of Kevin Belden as the new Chair for the Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC).
The ETAAC serves as a public forum for discussion of Electronic Tax Administration issues, supporting the goal of encouraging taxpayers to transact and communicate electronically with the IRS.
Kevin Belden replaces Peter Hosokawa, who has resigned from the committee due to other pressing commitments.
Belden is currently the Global Tax Services Executive with IBM Global Services (IGS). Prior to joining IBM in October 2000, Kevin was the Chief Information Officer for New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He had overall responsibility for electronic tax administration and was responsible for the statewide Electronic Value Transfer Administration initiative aimed at promoting the use of electronic payment alternatives by New York state government entities.
