IRS Advisory Group to Meet
The Internal Revenue Service Commissioner's Advisory Group will
meet at the National Office; 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W.;
Washington D.C.; on Thursday and Friday, August 29 and 30. The
meetings in Room 3313 will begin at 8:30 a.m. on August 29 and at
10:30 a.m. on August 30, concluding about mid-day on the 30th.
The agenda for the first day begins with a discussion of
Compliance 2000 directions. IRS will then present a report on
burden reduction and tax systems modernization design master plan.
Also listed for Thursday are discussions of a national wage
reporting system, the IRS strategic business plan, the status of
accounts receivable management and taxpayers' vision: the ultimate
picture of the impact the tax systems modernization would have on
every-day operations and on taxpayers.
The second day topics will focus on IRS ethics training, with
an update on IRS ethics and integrity issues, followed by discussion
about implementation of the earned income credit and IRS
reconsideration of the APEX proposal.
