Advisory Group Gets New Members

WASHINGTON - The IRS has announced the appointment of the 1991 Commissioner's Advisory Group to serve under Commissioner Fred T. Goldberg, Jr.

Commissioner Goldberg appointed six new members of the 1991 Commissioner's Advisory Group (CAG) to a two year staggered term ending in 1992. The members are William M. Burk, CPC International Inc,; James E. Forrester Jr., EA, Draper, Forrester and Associates; Glen Gillmore, EA, Sink, Gillmore & Gordon; Diana Robertson, CPP, SYSCON Corporation; Robert P. Shreve, ED.D., AARP and Edna M. Silvernail, Eastman Kodak Co.

Twelve current members will serve their second year in 1991. The 18 members of the advisory group, made up of academicians, accountants, attorneys, business executives, educators, small business represent- atives and government officials, serve without compensation. Appoint- ments to the group are made from nominations submitted by professional organizations in the tax field, IRS officials and others interested in tax administration.

Commissioner Goldberg appointed Richard A. Jones Jr., Esq. of Dobson & Dobson in Greenville, SC as Chair of the 1991 CAG. He was a member of the 1990 CAG and served on the CAG Compliance working subgroup.

The group will meet on April 24 and 25, August 29 and 30, and December 11 and 12, 1991.
