Institute on International Taxation Announced
WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service and The George
Washington University will sponsor the Ninth Annual Institute on
Current Issues in International Taxation on December 12 and 13, at
the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.
On the first day, the Institute will cover subjects designed
for professionals in international tax law, such as treaty issues,
collateral consequences of check-the-box regulations, and a briefing
of issues involving multinational corporations with the U.S.,
Mexican, and Canadian Competent Authorities. IRS Commissioner
Margaret Milner Richardson will be a featured luncheon speaker on
the first day. The second day will include an "Ask the IRS"
session, and sessions on regulatory guidance, intellectual property,
and withholding regulations.
